Cinnamon will no longer be installed for users of Ubuntu

Cinnamon will no longer be installed for users of Ubuntu

Cinnamon interface is one of the most popular existing environment in Linux, that has been developed mainly by a team of Linux Mint, which is able to install by a single repository on Ubuntu using this ppa: gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable, unfortunately this repository stooped working and Ubuntu users will not be able to install ot again.

The reason behind stopping the repository is not that the developer does not want to follow the lifting beams, but because Ubuntu will remove older versions of packages gnome and on which Cinnamon depend on it, and therefore it would be impossible to install the interface because the Dependencies that you need will no longer exist, and trying to install old Dependencies means crashing the system to obtain a conflict between the versions of the packages.

There is no solution at present for anyone who wants to use Cinnamon on Ubuntu, if you love this interface strongly you will move to another Linux distribution such as Fedora or openSUSE and others.
