1- Apricity OS

- Stable repositories : where packages are in good conditions and suitable for everyday use.

Note : Most interfaces are available in Manjaro Linux, and most preferred are Xfce and Kde.

After the late death of the Backtrack and some developers went of the distribution to Kali Linux and others have started their own projects .. many security distributions and penetration appeared, today our appointment with the BlackArch distribution, a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux and comes with more than 1,000 tool to protect the free and ready penetration for use directly, making it a good distro for those interested in the field of security information.

Distribution like her mother, is installed via the command line, which also come in several windows system managers like FluxBox, OpenBox and Awesome and Spectrwm, it is very light to reduce consumption, and do not forget, it is based on Arch, which means latest packages and updates.

Deepin 2014 available for download

After months of tests, a version of the of Chinese Deepin distribution 2014 is released the stable  and is available for download now.

Deepin 2014 is based on Ubuntu 14.04, it does not use GNOME Shell nor Unity not even Cinnamon, but uses a custom shell written in HTML5, which means desktop high and they respond very distinctive.

Deepin uses its own desktop environment, which is called The Deepin Desktop Environment, which adds some new features and highlights, including: the ability to remove applications directly from the bar to start applications, settings and Hot Corners.

The other thing which is a prominent is called Deepin Control Centre, as it is becoming displays system settings in the desktop on both sides of the bar, which allows easy access to the settings, a beautiful visual appearance.

Instead the applications has been improved and developed, by the team contains more than 30 people from the developers.

It is worth mentioning that Deepin Software center is wonderful, which puts the Canonical company in an awkward position and shameful in front of the power and beauty of Deepin Software center.

In addition to applications of multimedia player, which are easy to use, instead of the beautiful Games Centre.

Release of Robolinux 7.5.4 distribution

Robolinux Linux distribution is quick and easy to use, which is based on the ancient Debian distribution  (very stable), which is designed to be suitable for end-users, and has recently added a lot of developments and changes.

Robolinux uses software technique called Stealth VM Software that allows users to create a copy of Windows operating system with all the software installed inside as well as updates (which is the most important feature of the distribution).

In addition to these important feature, which is one of the most important features of the distribution, the developer also added a number of new packages.

Now it is possible to run Netflix on Firefox and Chrome (because it has been added component of Silverlight), some software such as Skype and kdenlive and unetbootin and Plex Media and others were updated; in addition, it has added all the security updates and systemic (upstream) of stable Debian.

Robolinux can be burn on USB Flash by Unetbootin or Live USB Creator.

A brief review of the distribution LINUX MINT 17

* Because of the busyness, this post is just a brief overview without details.

Linux Mint released about 17 days ago, with version 1.8 of the MATE desktop environment, and the other version with the version 2.2 of the interface Cinnamon, supported for five years, with the following key changes :

- Improvement of the Update Manager.
- The driver manager is now able to install the drivers without the need for an Internet connection.
- Improvement of display manager MDM and adding new features to it.
- Improvement of support for multiple monitors (and support HiDPI).
- Improvement of software sources.
- New welcome screen.

MakuluLinux (Pronounced "Ma-Cool-Loo") which means "big Chief" in the Zulu Language is a south African distribution based on Debian.
It gives a Sleek, Smooth and Stable user experience on any computer. Out-of-the-box, It supports multimedia codecs and provides pre-installed applications on the OS.

Steam is pre installed on Makulu, as well as wine which is customized and enhanced to launch any windows application.

Chromium, is the web browser of MakuluLinux, highly configurable, It is configured with Adblock to block adverts on any website as well as flash videos, Web Caching to allow a user to not just browse with speed but also conserve bandwidth at the same time, Flareget offers multi-threaded downloads and catches links from inside chromium, Youtube tools will allow you to download videos at your finger tips.


The big Chief offers Xfce, Kde, and E17.. Xfce is the mean desktop which has more interest to work on.

Pinguy OS is an Ubuntu-based distribution, which aims to be more easy and user-friendly for new comers to Linux, It comes with lot of enhancement features in order to target numerous beginners.

Once It is installed, out-of-the-box supports  multimedia codecs and browser plugins, and It comes with a good selection of common applications with tweaked Gnome user interface with enhanced menus, panels and dockbars.

There are other extensions as well apart from Gno-Menu.

Simple app for autochanging wallpapers.
