Skype Integration "Gnome Shell Extension" added more features to Gnome-shell

In Gnome Shell, It was hard to manage your Skype activities.

Skype Integration extension for Gnome 3.8 makes changing status easy and makes switch the microphone between "on" and "off", also makes easy to reach recent chats.

The integration also pipes Skype notifications and quick Links to contact list & add contact dialog.

Note : Gnome Shell doesn’t come with these applets, but  you can use the Skype API.

Installing ‘Skype Integration’ in Gnome is just as easy as another other add-on; pop over to the extension listing on the official Gnome extensions website in a supported browser (e.g. Firefox or Web), slide the switch from ‘Off‘ to ‘On’,  and hit ‘Install’ when prompted.

When you lunch Skype for the first time, you will need to give permissions to the applet. Check the ‘Remember This Selection‘ box, followed by ‘Yes‘, and everything will be good to go!
