Things to do after installing elementary os luna

Luna distro comes with little customizations default , and in this lesson, we will explain the inclusion of some additions to look better distribution.

First: Add repository of the distribution and do the update :

sudo apt-add-repository ppa: versable / elementary-update
sudo apt-get update

Second, install the required tools :

1- Elementary Tweaks

Helps you to customize your system , install It by running the following command :

sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks

2- additional backgrounds

sudo apt-get install elementary-wallpaper-collection

3- Add indicator-synapse for a quick search for applications and tools

sudo apt-get install indicator-synapse

4- Bridi program for Twitter accessing

sudo apt-get install birdie-granite

5- gazette

Beautiful tool to follow the latest news via RSS and weather conditions

sudo apt-get install gazette

6- Additional features

sudo apt-get install elementary-plank-themes elementary-plank-extra elementary-wallpaper-collection elementary-elfaenza-icons elementary-blue-theme elementary-champagne-theme elementary-colors-theme elementary-harvey-theme elementary-lion-theme elementary-milk-theme elementary-plastico-theme elementary-whit-e-theme

7- WingPanel-Slim

sudo apt-get install wingpanel-slim

Note: Note that some of the above programs are not as a standalone program but they are presented in any system settings with a built-in and integration .
