Fold the piece in half and crochet 7 sc. Do not fill. Fasten the thread, cut it, and leave a tail for sewing.

Crochet Comb

Crochet in red.

(Chain 5, starting from 2nd chain, crochet 4 sc) x3, fasten the thread, cut it, and leave a tail for sewing.

Legs (make 2)

Crochet in orange.

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
• Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) x3 (9)
• Rnd 3-4: 9 sc (2 rounds)

Fold the piece in half and crochet 4 sc. Fasten the thread, cut it, and hide it inside.

Cheeks (make 2)

Crochet in pink.

• 6 sc in MR

Fasten the thread, cut it, and leave a tail for sewing.

Assembly and Decoration

Glue the eyes between the 13th and 14th rounds, spacing them 5-6 stitches apart. Sew the beak and cheeks. With three-ply silk thread, embroider the eyebrows as shown. Add highlights to the eyes with white thread. Sew the comb on top in the middle, attach the wings between rounds 25 and 26, and sew the legs in place.
