Abbreviations:

  • Mr: Magic ring
  • sc: single crochet
  • inc: increase
  • DEC: decrease
  • x: repeat
  • BLO: Back Loop only
  • FLO: Front Loop only
  • DC: Double crochet

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Red Heart Comfort yarn or 2 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver yarn. For a white puppy, use 1 whole skein of Super Saver yarn (364 yards) for the head, body, arms, face, and eyelids, and a little from the second skein for the feet.
  • A little contrasting yarn for the ears, tail, and spots on the legs. Some yarn for the nose.
  • Important: If you take cotton yarn, it will be difficult to knit. I recommend acrylic yarn for easier work, especially with decreases.
  • Hook: 4.25mm
  • Needle
  • Scissors
  • Eyes: You can use buttons, felt, embroidery, or safety eyes (20mm). You can make the eyes larger if you prefer.
  • Filler (fiberfill or similar stuffing material)

Note: Position the eyes as you wish. For a white puppy, I attached them between rows 15 and 16, for a gray dog, between rows 16 and 17. The distance between the eyes is 9 loops (counted by "holes").
