Hi there! Today I’m sharing a cute baby elephant amigurumi pattern designed by Victoria Makarevich. With this free crochet pattern, you can make an adorable little elephant step by step.

• Thin velour yarn, approximately 50 g / 300 m
• Scissors
• Stitch marker
• Glue
• Safety eyes
• Fiberfill / stuffing

Finished size: Approximately 13 cm

Trunk

Attach the yarn to the opening created in the head.

Continue the Head

Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Stuff the elephant’s head firmly.

Eye Shaping

Make eye indentations between Rounds 16 and 17 of the head.

Insert the needle from underneath the head and bring it out between Rounds 16 and 17 at the position of the first eye. Return the needle underneath the head, pull the yarn gently to create the indentation, and secure it.

Repeat the same process for the second eye.

Attach, glue, or sew the eyes in place. Embroider white details around the eyes and add black eyebrows.

Ears – Make 4 Pieces

The ears are made from two pieces each, usually one gray and one pink.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)

For the pink piece, finish with a slip stitch, fasten off, and hide the yarn end.

Do not cut the yarn on the gray piece.

Place the two ear pieces together with the wrong sides facing inward and crochet around the edge through both layers.

After joining, fold the ear in half and crochet through 4-5 nearby stitches to shape the base.

Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Sew the ears between Rounds 16 and 21 of the head.

Sew the arms to the body between Rounds 16 and 21.

Sew the head securely to the body.

Check that all pieces are firmly attached and weave in any remaining yarn ends.
