Abbreviations (US Terms)

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• Cluster = 4-dc cluster (Work 4 unfinished double crochets into the same stitch, then yarn over and draw through all loops on the hook.)
• V-stitch = (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in same stitch
• sk = skip
• sl st = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)
• rep = repeat
• RS / WS = right side / wrong side

Pattern

Note: Ch 3 at the beginning of each row counts as the first stitch. For ease of counting, place a stitch marker in the third chain.

Row 1 – Background Color

Chain 79. Work in the 4th ch from hook. Dc in each stitch across for a total of 76 dc. Turn.

Rows 2–3 – Background Color

Ch 3, dc in each stitch across. Each row should have 76 dc. Turn.

Row 4 – Leaves (Green)

Ch 3, skip 1 st, * (dc, ch 1, dc) in same st, skip 2 sts *. Repeat between * * 24 times. Work (dc, ch 1, dc) in same st, skip 1 st, dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 5 – Flowers (Pink / Blue / Yellow)

Ch 4, * Cluster in the ch-1 space of the V-stitch, ch 2 *. Repeat between * * 24 times. Cluster in the ch-1 space of the V-stitch, ch 1, dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 6 – Background Color

Ch 3, dc in the ch-1 space, then work 3 dc in each ch-2 space until the end of the row. Turn.

Repeating Sections

Rows 7–9 – Background Color

Ch 3, dc in each stitch across. Each row should have 76 dc. Turn.

Row 10 – Leaves (Green)

Repeat Row 4.

Row 11 – Flowers

Repeat Row 5.

Row 12 – Background Color

Repeat Row 6.

Repeat Rows 7–12 until the blanket reaches 42 rows.

Rows 43–44 – Background Color

Ch 3, dc in each stitch across. Each row should have 76 dc. Turn.

Fasten off.

Border (Optional – Flower Edge)

Join yarn to any corner.

Round 1

Sc evenly around the entire blanket, working 3 sc in each corner.

Round 2 – Decorative Edge

* Sc, ch 3, work 2 dc in the post of the sc, skip 2 sts *. Repeat around.

Fasten off.
