Tiny Kitten Free Crochet Pattern

Meet the tiny kitten! This adorable little cat measures only 8 cm (3.1 inches) from the feet to the top of the ears. It is small enough to fit in one hand and makes a sweet handmade gift or miniature amigurumi project.

Materials

• Vita Brilliant yarn (45% wool, 55% acrylic, 380 m/100 g)
• 1.5-1.75 mm crochet hook
• Iris YarnArt yarn (138 m/20 g), black and white, for the eyes
• Alternatively, use 4 mm safety eyes
• Sewing needle
• Scissors
• Sewing pins
• Fiberfill

Abbreviations

• R = row
• MR = magic ring
• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
• dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
• F.o. = finish off
• (12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
• (…)*6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Head

Fasten the thread, cut it, and hide the end inside.

Stuff the head with fiberfill.

Stuff the arms with fiberfill.

Pull the opening closed, fasten the thread, and hide the end inside.

Tail

Stuff the tail lightly.

Sew the edges together with a needle and leave a long thread for sewing.

Assembly

1. Sew the ears to the sides of the head between R 2 and R 4.
2. Embroider the nose between R 9 and R 10.
3. Embroider the smile between R 11 and R 12.
4. Embroider a vertical line between the nose and smile.
5. Embroider the whiskers using two stitches on R 10 and R 11 on each side. Each stitch should be approximately the length of 1 sc.
6. Embroider, glue, or sew the eyes onto R 9, leaving 5 sc between the eyes.
7. Sew the head to the body.
8. Attach the arms using thread attachment or sew them approximately one row below the seam between the head and body.
9. Attach the legs using thread attachment or sew them between R 4 and R 5 of the body on each side.
10. Sew the tail to the back of the toy at approximately R 5-6.
