Crochet Jeremy the Cat in Overalls PDF Free Pattern

Hello friends. Today I will share an amazing cat amigurumi pattern. The cat's name is Jeremy. A truly magnificent amigurumi free pattern. I can even say that it is the most detailed amigurumi pattern I have shared for a long time. You can find even the smallest detail in the pattern. This will make your job incredibly easy. I liked the cat's clothes and hat the most. But the crochet cat is gorgeous as a whole. Now if you're ready, let's get started.

Jeremy the Cat in Overalls Amigurumi Toy

We see that the cat doll, which has a very nice combination with its magnificent white hat and blue overalls, also has a striped sweater made with different shades of blue and white. Since it is a very challenging crochet toy, I would like to leave you alone with the crochet pattern without delaying you any further.

Tail (Repeated Section in Original Pattern)

Stuff while crocheting. Stuff the lower part tightly, then fill it medium. You do not need to fill the upper part.

With gray yarn:

  • Round 1: 6 sc in MR
  • Round 2: inc in every loop (12 sc)
  • Rounds 3–25: 12 sc (23 rows)

Fold the edges of the part together and crochet 6 sc. Fasten the yarn and cut.

Joining the Legs and Crocheting the Body

Crochet the second leg in the same way as the first, but after the 17th row, crochet another 18 sc.

Do not cut the yarn, but continue to crochet the body. (You may need a different number of stitches after the 17th row, then you need to adjust it yourself.)

Round 18: From the second leg, cast on a chain of 6 ch and attach to the first leg where you finished crocheting (into the loop following slst). Make sure your legs are straight.

Then crochet 21 sc in the first piece, 6 sc in the chain of chains, 21 sc in the second piece, 6 sc on the reverse side of the chain of chains (54 sc). Place a marker in this place (the marker is in front).

  • Rounds 19–26: 54 sc (8 rows)

In the next row, you need to crochet a tail. Make sure that the tail is located exactly in the middle.

  • Round 27: 22 sc, 6 sc (tie a tail), 26 sc (54 sc)
  • Round 28: (7 sc, dec) × 6 (48 sc)

Next, you need to align the marker exactly in the middle of the back. To do this, I needed to crochet 22 sc (you may need to crochet a different number of loops), and in the next loop change the color to dark blue.

Now this will be the beginning of the next row. Set the marker.

Continue with dark blue yarn:

  • Rounds 29–30: 48 sc

Change color to white:

  • Round 31: 48 sc
  • Round 32: (10 sc, dec) × 4 (44 sc)

Change yarn to dark blue:

  • Rounds 33–34: 44 sc

Change color to white:

  • Rounds 35–36: 44 sc

Change yarn to dark blue:

  • Rounds 37–38: 44 sc

Change color to white:

  • Round 39: 44 sc
  • Round 40: (9 sc, dec) × 4 (40 sc)

Change yarn to dark blue:

  • Rounds 41–42: 40 sc

Change color to white:

  • Round 43: (8 sc, dec) × 4 (36 sc)

In the next row, you need to crochet arms. Make sure that they are located symmetrically on the sides of the body.

  • Round 44: 9 sc, 6 sc (with arm), 12 sc, 6 sc (with arm), 3 sc (36 sc)

Change the yarn to dark blue:

  • Round 45: (4 sc, dec) × 6 (30 sc)
  • Round 46: 30 sc

Change yarn to gray:

  • Round 47: (3 sc, dec) × 6 (24 sc)
  • Rounds 48–49: 24 sc

The body is ready. Further, without tearing off the yarn, we continue to crochet the head. We stuff very tightly.

Head

  • Round 50: inc in each loop (48 sc)
  • Round 51: (7 sc, inc) × 6 (54 sc)
  • Round 52: 4 sc, inc, (8 sc, inc) × 5, 4 sc (60 sc)
  • Rounds 53–64: 60 sc (12 rows)
  • Round 65: 4 sc, dec, (8 sc, dec) × 5, 4 sc (54 sc)
  • Round 66: (7 sc, dec) × 6 (48 sc)
  • Round 67: 3 sc, dec, (6 sc, dec) × 5, 3 sc (42 sc)
  • Round 68: (5 sc, dec) × 6 (36 sc)
  • Round 69: 2 sc, dec, (4 sc, dec) × 5, 2 sc (30 sc)
  • Round 70: (3 sc, dec) × 6 (24 sc)
  • Round 71: 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) × 5, 1 sc (18 sc)
  • Round 72: (1 sc, dec) × 6 (12 sc)

Fasten and cut the yarn, leaving a long tip with which to tighten the remaining hole. Hide the tail of the yarn inside the head.

Additional Crocheted Pieces

This section is unlabeled in the original text.

Make two pieces in gray yarn.

  • Round 1: 6 sc in MR
  • Round 2: (1 sc, inc) × 3 (9 sc)
  • Round 3: (2 sc, inc) × 3 (12 sc)
  • Round 4: (5 sc, inc) × 2 (14 sc)
  • Round 5: (6 sc, inc) × 2 (16 sc)
  • Round 6: (7 sc, inc) × 2 (18 sc)
  • Round 7: (8 sc, inc) × 2 (20 sc)

Fasten the yarn and cut off, leaving a long end for sewing.

Muzzle

With white yarn:

  • Round 1: 6 sc in MR
  • Round 2: inc in each loop (12 sc)
  • Round 3: (1 sc, inc) × 6 (18 sc)
  • Round 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) × 5, 1 sc (24 sc)
  • Round 5: (3 sc, inc) × 6 (30 sc)
  • Round 6: 30 sc

Fasten the yarn and cut off, leaving a long end for sewing.

Design and Assembly

Attaching the Muzzle

First you need to sew on the muzzle.

Determine the location of the muzzle approximately between rounds 51 and 61 of the head. Pin it with pins, making sure that it is located in the center.

Sew, and in the process of sewing, put the filler inside.

Attaching the Eyes

Sew eyes on both sides of the muzzle. To do this, mark with pins the location of the eyes, which are between rounds 59 and 60 of the head. The distance between the points is 10–11 sc.

When sewing, make a small tightening. With white yarn, make stitches around the eyes to make the look more "alive". Black yarn can be added for the eyelid.

Embroidering the Face

On the muzzle, with pins, mark the location of the spout and embroider with pink yarn.

Embroider the mouth, eyebrows, and mustache with black yarn.

Attaching the Ears

With pins, mark the location of the ears and sew approximately between rounds 61 and 70. Make sure that the ears are sewn symmetrically.

Crochet Cat Overalls and Accessories

Pants

Crocheting the pants starts from the top.

With the color "jeans", make a chain of 54 ch and, with the help of slst, close it in a circle.

  • Round 1: 2 ch turn, 54 dc, slst
  • Round 2: (8 sc, inc) × 6 (60 sc)
  • Rounds 3–7: 60 sc (5 rows)

In the next row, you need to make a hole for the tail.

  • Round 8: Make a chain of 6 ch, skip 6 sc of the previous row, continue crocheting in the next loop, 54 sc (60 sc)
  • Rounds 9–18: 60 sc (10 rows)

Dividing the Pants into Legs

Further crocheting is divided as follows:

28 sc (pants), 2 sc, 28 sc (pants), 2 sc.

It is necessary to position the legs so that the hole for the tail is exactly in the middle.

To do this, I needed to crochet 4 sc (maybe you will have a different number of loops), then count 28 sc and join in a circle. Continue crocheting already on 28 loops.

  • Rounds 19–29: 28 sc (11 rows)

Finish crocheting slst, fasten and cut the yarn, and hide the tip of the yarn.

Next, return to the beginning of crocheting the legs, count 2 sc from the first (this will be the distance between them), tie the yarn, leaving a free tail of about 20 cm.

Count off 28 sc, join in a round with sl-st and work again 11 rows of 28 sc.

Next, finish crocheting slst, fasten and cut the yarn, and hide the tip of the yarn.

With the left end of the yarn, sew the distance between the legs.

Overall Pocket

Crochet in turning rows. Each row starts with 1 ch turn.

Make a chain of 10 ch + 1 ch turn. Start the first row from the 2nd loop from the hook.

  • Rows 1–8: 10 sc (8 rows)

Connect the sides of the sc pocket, fasten and cut the yarn, leaving a long tip for sewing.

Overall Straps (Webbing)

Crochet 2 pieces of the desired length. I needed to make 28 ch, maybe you will have a different amount (depending on the density of crocheting).

Crochet in turning rows. When tying the initial chain, leave a free tail of about 20 cm.

Make a chain of 28 ch + 1 ch turn.

Start the first row from the 2nd loop from the hook.

  • Row 1: 28 sc, 1 ch turn
  • Row 2: 28 sc

Fasten and cut the yarn, leaving the tip for sewing.

Sew the straps to the pants, sew decorative buttons on the front, and sew on a pocket.

Beret

Crochet with white yarn:

  • Round 1: 6 sc in MR
  • Round 2: inc in each loop (12 sc)
  • Round 3: (1 sc, inc) × 6 (18 sc)
  • Round 4: (2 sc, inc) × 6 (24 sc)
  • Round 5: (3 sc, inc) × 6 (30 sc)
  • Round 6: (4 sc, inc) × 6 (36 sc)
  • Round 7: (5 sc, inc) × 6 (42 sc)
  • Round 8: (6 sc, inc) × 6 (48 sc)
  • Round 9: (7 sc, inc) × 6 (54 sc)
  • Round 10: (8 sc, inc) × 6 (60 sc)
  • Round 11: (9 sc, inc) × 6 (66 sc)
  • Round 12: (10 sc, inc) × 6 (72 sc)
  • Round 13: (11 sc, inc) × 6 (78 sc)
  • Round 14: (12 sc, inc) × 6 (84 sc)
  • Rounds 15–17: 84 sc (3 rows)
  • Round 18: (12 sc, dec) × 6 (78 sc)
  • Round 19: (11 sc, dec) × 6 (72 sc)
  • Round 20: (10 sc, dec) × 6 (66 sc)
  • Round 21: 66 sc

Finish crocheting slst, fasten and cut the yarn, and hide the tip of the yarn.

Pompon

Crochet in red yarn. Stuff in the process of crocheting.

  • Round 1: 6 sc in MR
  • Round 2: inc in each loop (12 sc)
  • Round 3: (1 sc, inc) × 6 (18 sc)
  • Round 4: (2 sc, inc) × 6 (24 sc)
  • Rounds 5–8: 24 sc (4 rows)
  • Round 9: (2 sc, dec) × 6 (18 sc)
  • Round 10: (1 sc, dec) × 6 (12 sc)

Fasten the yarn and cut off, leaving a long end for sewing.

Sew the pompom to the top of the beret.

Scarf

On paper, make a pattern according to the dimensions indicated in the photo.

Transfer the pattern to the fabric, leave allowances of 0.7–1 cm for the hem, and cut out.

Finish the edges, fold, and stitch.
