1st row: (WS). (1 sc. Ch 1. 1 sc) in 2nd ch from hook. Turn. 3 sts.

2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. Ch 1. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. 1 sc in last sc. Turn. 5 sts.

3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. Ch 1. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. 1 sc in last sc. Turn. 7 sts.

4th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. Ch 1. *1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip next sc. Rep from * to last ch-1 sp. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.

Rep last row until there are 41 sts, ending on a RS row.

Work straight as follows:

1st row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. Ch 1. *1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip next sc. Rep from * to last 4 sts. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip next sc. Sc2tog. Turn. 41 sts.

Rep last row until there are 5 sts.

Finishing

Sew Strips tog, alternating RS and WS facing to mirror Strips, as shown in photo.

Top Edging

With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to top right corner of Blanket.

1st row: (RS). Ch 1. Work 1 row of sc evenly across. Turn.

2nd to 8th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.

Fasten off.

Bottom Edging

With RS facing, join yarn with sl st at bottom left corner of Blanket.

Work as given for Top Edging.
