Free Little Sheep Crochet Pattern With Soft Movable Limbs
Soft fluffy texture, a rounded muzzle, and movable limbs give this little sheep a playful handmade look. The free amigurumi crochet pattern combines Alize Softy for the woolly sections with YarnArt Angora Ram for the face, ears, arms, and legs, creating clear contrast between the fleece and smoother features. A jointed head and thread-attached limbs add movement, making the finished sheep a sweet small gift or display piece for farm animal crochet fans.
Crochet a Fluffy Sheep With Jointed Details
The sheep is built from separate head, body, arm, leg, and ear pieces, with the head attached using a cotter-pin joint and the limbs secured with nylon thread so they can move. Simple shaping keeps the body rounded, while the yarn changes create the soft wool effect without extra surface pieces. Finish the face with small sewn-on eyes, an embroidered nose, and light shading, then assemble the parts carefully for a balanced pose.

Assembly
-
Attach the Arms as a movable pair with nylon thread. Leave a long thread tail, pass the needle through the Body and one Arm, return through the Body to the starting point, pass through the second Arm, pull both ends firmly, tie securely, and hide the ends inside the Body. Repeat the same process for the Legs.
-
Thread each 3 mm bead eye onto black thread; the designer uses regular sewing thread held triple. Pass both thread ends through a needle and draw the eye threads through the Head so the threads from both eyes exit at the same point. Pull firmly, tie securely, and hide the ends inside the Head.
-
Sew the Ears symmetrically to the Head.
-
Embroider the nose with black thread and lightly shade it with pastel or acrylic paint.
