Materials

How to Crochet Raya Doll Amigurumi Step by Step

Legs (Make 2)

Start with brown yarn.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: BLO, 12 sc (12)
Rnd 4: 12 sc (12)

Change to red yarn.

Rnd 5: 12 sc, slst (12)

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.

Repeat these steps for the second leg, but do not fasten off. You will join the two legs to begin crocheting the body.

Body

Yarn colors: Green, brown, tan, and mustard.

Change to green yarn.

Continuing from the second leg, ch 3. You will now connect the second leg to the first leg.

Start crocheting into the first leg.

Insert the safety eyes between Rounds 11 and 12, approximately 5 stitches apart. Start stuffing the head.



Embroider the eyelashes and eyebrows onto the head using black embroidery thread. Embroider the nose using tan yarn and weave in any loose ends.

Arms (Make 2)

Use tan and dark brown yarn.

Start with tan yarn.

Assembly

  1. Sew the head to the body.
  2. Sew the arms to Round 13 and weave in the loose ends.
  3. Sew the ears to the head between Rounds 10 and 12.
  4. Wrap the cape around the neck and sew it securely in place.
  5. Attach the hair to the head using fabric glue or sew it into place if you prefer. Position Strands 3 and 24 in front of the ears. Arrange the remaining strands around the head and secure them with pins while the glue dries. Layer selected strands over one another at the top of the head and sew or glue them securely.
  6. Place the hat on the doll’s head.
