Let’s Start the Amigurumi Owl Pattern
We will begin by crocheting the body and head together.
Head and Body
Worked as one piece from bottom to top.
Start with blue yarn.
Ch 8.
Rnd 1: Start in the 2nd ch from the hook: inc, 5 sc, 4 sc in the last st of the foundation chain, 5 sc, inc (18)
Rnd 2: 2 inc, 5 sc, 4 inc, 5 sc, 2 inc (26)

When crocheting the last stitch of Rnd 8, change to yellow yarn.

Add some stuffing. Place the Kinder Surprise egg pod with beads inside the body to create the rattle.
Fold the body in half and crochet the edges together with sc. Add a little more stuffing before fully closing the seam.
Eyes – Make 2
Start with white yarn.
Rnd 1: mr, 6 sc (6)
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
Leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the eyes onto the head. Glue the black half beads in place or sew on black beads if preferred.
Embroider the beak with orange yarn.
Wings – Make 2
Start with orange yarn.
Rnd 1: mr, 6 sc (6)
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Change to blue.
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
Change to yellow.
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
Change to white.
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
Change to green.
Fold the wing in half and crochet the edges together with sc.
Leave a long tail for sewing and sew the wings to the body.
Tail
Start with orange yarn.
Ch 6 + ch 3.
Rnd 1: Starting from the 4th ch, work 3 dc, hdc, 2 sc, ch 1, turn (6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc, hdc, 3 dc, ch 3, turn (6)
Rnd 4: 3 dc, hdc, 2 sc (6)
Sew the tail to the body.
Feet – Make 2
Crochet two chains of 20 ch each.
Add beads to the chains and sew them to the owl’s body.
Ears
Cut pieces of yarn in different colors, approximately 6–7 cm long.
Attach a bundle of yarn to each corner of the head.
Insert the crochet hook into the corner, make a loop with the yarn, pass the yarn ends through the loop, and tighten.
Trim any excess length as needed.
Finishing
The Owl Rattle toy is now ready. It has a fun rattling sound and playful beaded feet.
You can also sew on a cord or lace to turn it into a hanging toy.
