Knitting Amigurumi Spring Bee Free Pattern


 

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors! I wanted to share some free amigurumi patterns with you here. In this article, I'll be sharing one pattern with instructions on how to make it. At the end of my article, I’ll also include additional amigurumi patterns that can inspire new ideas for you!

Materials:

  • Ricorumi cotton yarn (yellow, black, white, pink)
  • Black embroidery thread
  • 3 mm hook
  • 6 mm safety eyes
  • Wool needle
  • Fiberfill for stuffing
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

Abbreviations:

  • (ms)/(sc): single crochet
  • (BO): popcorn stitch
  • (ml)/(ch): chain stitch
  • (MR): magic ring
  • (dim)/(dec): decrease
  • (augm)/(inc): increase
  • (M)/(st): stitch
  • (FLO): front loops only
  • (BLO): back loops only
  • (d-br)/(tr): treble crochet
  • (br)/(dc): double crochet
  • (dB)/(hdc): half double crochet
  • (mc)/(sl-st): slip stitch
  • (db/dbr)/(dtr): double treble crochet
  • (mct)/(tch): turning chain
  • (3msm)/(sc3tog): single crochet 3 together
  • (F.o.): fasten off
  • (3 br ens): 3 double crochets together

Head and Body

Using yellow yarn:

  • Make a chain of 6 ch, crochet around the chain, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook.
  • R 1: inc, 3 sc, 3 sc in the last stitch, 4 sc [12]
  • R 2: 2 inc, 3 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc, 1 inc [18]
  • R 3: (2 sc, inc) * 6 [24]
  • R 4: (3 sc, inc) * 6 [30]
  • R 5: (2 sc, inc, 2 sc) * 6 [36]
  • R 6: (5 sc, inc) * 6 [42]
  • Rows 7-11: 42 sc
  • R 12: (3 sc, inc, 3 sc) * 6 [48]
  • Rows 13-16: 48 sc
  • R 17: (3 sc, dec, 3 sc) * 6 [42]
  • R 18: (5 sc, dec) * 6 [36]

Insert the safety eyes between rows 10 and 11, about 4 stitches apart.

  • R 19: (dec) * 6 [18]
  • R 20: (2 sc, inc) * 6 [24]
  • R 21: 24 sc

Switch to black yarn:

  • R 22: (3 sc, inc) * 6 [30]
  • R 23: BLO - (2 sc, inc, 2 sc) * 6 [36]
  • R 24: 36 sc

Switch back to yellow yarn:

  • R 25: (5 sc, inc) * 6 [42]
  • R 26: BLO - 42 sc
  • R 27: 42 sc

Switch to black yarn:

  • R 28: 42 sc
  • R 29: BLO - 42 sc
  • R 30: (5 sc, dec) * 6 [36]

Switch to yellow yarn:

  • R 31: 36 sc
  • R 32: BLO - (2 sc, dec, 2 sc) * 6 [30]
  • R 33: (3 sc, dec) * 6 [24]

Switch to black yarn:

  • R 34: (2 sc, dec) * 6 [18]
  • R 35: (1 sc, dec) * 6 [12]
  • R 36-37: 12 sc
  • R 38: (dec) * 6 [6]

Fasten off and close.

Details

  • Using the front loops of rows 22, 25, and 28 (bottom of head), with black or yellow yarn: (4 ch, 1 sc in the next st) *
  • Using the front loops of row 31 (bottom of head), with yellow yarn: (2 ch, 1 sc in the next st) *

Antennas (Make 2)

With black yarn:

  • ch 5, sc in 1st ch, 3 sl-st

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Blush (Make 2)

With pink yarn in MR:

  • 6 sc, 1 sl-st

Sew or glue in place.

Wings

Using white yarn:

Large Wings (Make 2)

  • R 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
  • R 2: (inc) * 6 [12]
  • R 3: (1 sc, inc) * 6 [18]
  • Rows 4-7: 18 sc
  • R 8: (1 sc, dec) * 6 [12]
  • Rows 9-10: 12 sc
  • R 11: (dec) * 6 [6]
  • R 12: 6 sc
  • ch 1, fold and sc 3 through both sides

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing between rows 23 and 24.

Small Wings (Make 2)

  • R 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
  • R 2: (inc) * 6 [12]
  • R 3: (3 sc, inc) * 3 [15]
  • Rows 4-6: 15 sc
  • R 7: (3 sc, dec) * 3 [12]
  • Rows 8-9: 12 sc
  • R 10: (dec) * 6 [6]
  • ch 1, fold and sc 3 through both sides

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing between rows 26 and 27.
