As you know, the repository which enables users to install interface Cinnamon on Ubuntu have been stopped long time ago, and users became unable to install this interface on Ubuntu only through the construction of the source, which it is very difficult for users to non-advanced in Ubuntu distribution.
Fortunately, now, finally a new repository is provided to solves this problem, providing the Cinnamon interface (last version) for Ubuntu 14.04, and for Ubuntu 12.04, to add the repository in order to install Cinnamon on your system run these commands :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: tsvetko.tsvetkov/cinnamon
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cinnamon
